Golden Eye Walkthrough

Stuck at a certain place? Need help for taking out guards? This is the place to be! I've created this walkthrough to give you tips on how to beat the levels in Golden Eye. I specially designed it to give you tips and strategies to get through the place with ease (I'm not talking about cheats or secret passage ways, however!!!). Mission 1

Part I:Dam Mission log:

-Agent: You should be ashamed of yourself if you read this (unless you are looking for the fastest way to beat it to get the cheat...). This level is darn right easy! Shoot the guard around the corner, move to the tower and pick up the Sniper Rifle. Across the tunnel is a bunker that you should shoot at with your Sniper. After you kill 5 guards including the 2 in the bunker, run over to the right side of the truck and activate the switch. Run in with the truck and hit the second switch. in the next area, kill a siberian guard marching around the tower, and another green one running towards an alarm (if he activates it, guards will rush out of the building and appear from behind you). Open the fence (it's a door) and blow the lock of the second fence door with a gun, and run halfway along the dam till you come to a platform hanging of of the left ledge. Jump down from the platform to complete the only mission objective: a!

-Secret Agent: Take the usual route, don't forget the Sniper Rifle, till you arrive at the first alarm (the one the green guard runs too - blow it up. This time, on the dam, you'll have to enter each tower too blow up the alarm in each one (3 in all). You might want to snipe the guards patrolling the towers down.Objective a: complete. Now you just have to jump off the platform you past earlier. Just watch out for any alerted guards who may come to check if they hear any LOUD noisesObjective b: complete!

-00 Agent: Don't forget that 00 Agent missions are very difficult, compared to Agent and Secret Agent. Thus the guards will put up a much better fight - be prepared! Take more time taking out the first guards. Don't forget to pick up the Sniper Rifle at the beginning of the level - it's criticaly useful!!! By now you should know where most guards are, so take the time to snipe them out from far. When passing the double doors with the truck, move on the left side so you can get the green soldier out quickely, as the truck passes beside you to give you cover against the guard at the tower. blow up the alarm and go in the "house" to kill a Russian guard and a commander. Back outside, run behind the building to find a computer where you should plant your covert modemObjective b: completeObjective a: complete) and at the last tower, go downstairs. Open a fence door and follow the sewer path, but stop immidiatly before the first set of boxes piled up in the way. Arm yourself with the Sniper Rifle and snipe down the corridor, killing all the guards in the way. Proceed to the next section once you can't see any guards and snipe some more. Proceed to the next place, but watch out, starting here are guards on the right corner ready to use a quick over-hand-shot move (shots, not fists...duh). There is one ambushing you in each section. To easily knock him out, switch to a good combat weapon and side step in front of him, and then switch back to the Sniper and continue on with the procedure till you come up to a door. There, take care of the hand full of guards around the corner (be carefull, when killing a guard, not to blow up the main frames (the big grey boxes in the corner). Activate them (with B) to: Objective c: complete. Now head back up and jump off (Objective d: complete).

-Agent: You'll start ducked in the vents. turn left as early as you can and then dropp down in the bathroom. exit the cubicle and then the bathroom through the door to the left. Run down the stairs and take out the patrolling guards. Enter the small door UNDER the stairs and shoot that guard to obtain a keycard. Use it to open the locked door that is across from the stairs. Deal with the three guards and activate the computer. Run over to the metal door on the other side (twice left when you move out of the room). Past that door and through the one you opened using a keycard, elimanate the 2 guards to your left and then open the next door, but run back to a corner of the other room. From here you can safely kill the three guards from the other room that chase you AND the guards that will come from the first door you used to enter that room. Once they are gone, follow the path, ignoring any doors to your right or left.
NOTE: If you see a scientist run by shoot near his legs so that he might drop a keycard, so that you won't have to activate any computers to get by.
Past the double doors, you'll enter a highly patrolled area - kill any guards that came your way. If you have the keycard, go immidiatly left and pass the door, but if not, go in the door infront of you, taking out the guards, and activate the left computer. At this, run to the door down the right corridor (as you come out) (Objective a: complete). In the next room, shoot the guards behind the boxes, in the corner, and then climb the stairs, follow the MAIN path (there are two guards hiding in a dark corner) till you reach a yellow taped door - go in! To save some trouble later on, explore the place a bit and kill 4 guards so they won't interfear when the alarm goes on. As you talk with 006, (Objective b: complete) blow up the large GAS tanks (no, not military tanks) using your KF7 Soviet, or your mines if you're low on ammo (Objective c: complete. Depending on your timing, you may be done before you start talking with 006 and you'll just have to let him finish so that you can finally walk out (through the doors or the conveyor belt) and finish the level if you havn't killed too many scientists Objective d: complete. However, if Alec (006) stopped talking before you blow up all the tanks, the alarm will be given and you'll have to work fast as your friend sacrifices himself too help you get through alive!!!

-Secret Agent: The only difference between agent and Secret Agent is that you'll have to meet up with Doctor Doke (apart from fighting stronger soldiers). Here are his possible random locations:
-In either tank room at the beginning (50%)
-In the gas room past the right, computer activated door (10%)
-A few rooms before entering the tank room, in two laboratorys (30%)
-In the same area, in the corner near some ambushing guards (10%)
You don't have to stand infront of him to complete the objective, Doctor Doke will talk to you from anywhere as soon as you come near him and the door decoder will automatically appear in your inventory (oh yeah! that's another thing - you must use that device to open up the yellow taped door at the end of the level).

-00 Agent: The only thing changed here is difficulty. I won't be able to help you much - sorry.

-Agent: This level is soooooooo easy! First I just want to note that we are going between two different combat styles here: In the facility you probably were going around corners killing one guard at a time. In here you'll need all out freeforall combat!!! All you need to do is go right out, enter the building to the left and pick up the plane key (Objective a: complete). Now go back out, run along the air strip as you dodge the millions of bullets flying around you, James Bond style and press B at the plane to take off (Objective b: complete)!

-Secret Agent:To destroy the missile battery, just drive the tank over to the big missile device sitting up on a block over concrete next to the plane. You also could use timed mines or grenades at it, but it is easier with the tank, plus you won't be a sitting duck.Objective b: complete

-00 Agent:Ha! So you thought this was going to be easy in 00 Agent too... huh? You'll be especially vulnerable here, as this level keeps you from using the only tactic you can use to beat a 00 Agent level - slowly and carefully taking out one guard at a time. You do have a tank to protect you a litle bit, but you will still have to drive the tank carefully. To destroy the heavy gun implacements, drive your tank over to the end of the runway till the sentry guns come in range. Fire at the one on the right side first, as the left one shoots only if you are a bit closer. (You should shoot the third one halfway up the air strip as you are heading towards the end of the runway - if you stick on the left side, it won't be able to shoot you).Objective b: complete.

-Agent: You won't have to worry about guards in this level, there are barely any patrollers, and the attacking guards which can't aim at all are only armed with Klobbs and Snipers. Follow the path till you see a gigantic satellite dish - then run towards it (ignore the path). Enter it, climb up the stairs, open the door in front of you and press B at the computer, but don't shoot it - Objective a: complete! Once your back out the complexe, run straight, just a bit to the left till you find a big silo looking object. Climb up it, shoot the locks of and jump down.Objective b: complete

-Secret Agent: This time, walk far down on the right till you reach a set of houses. Go in the top one to find a commander you must kill to obtain a key. Come back to the beginning point and enter the left house of the pair of houses that you crossed at the beginning. Once you have the key inside (Objective b: complete, go over to the satellite dish and power it down (Objective a: complete). Back outside go behind the satellite dish and look a bit to the right to find a fenced in area. Enter the closest building for the building plans - Objective c: complete. Now you just have to jump down the ventilation tower (Objective d: complete

-00 Agent: The objectives and mission play is exactly the same except for the guard's level.
