Golden Eye Weapons

Welcome to the Golden Eye weapons department. In this page you will find the names, classifications, ammo stats, descriptions etc. of every single gun in the game even including the secret ones. It might sound boring for those who think they know everything about the guns but there is still allot to learn about them. Here is a list with all available stats for now. Rating: **
  Name: Throwing Knives
Classification: Other
Ammo Type: 10, throwing knives

Rating: **

Ammo Type: 800, Pistol ammunition
Description: Bond’s weapon of choice, it can be fitted with a silencer for covert operations. Standard issue weapon with medium stopping power.

Rating: ***
  Name: DD44 Dostovei
Classification: Handgun
Ammo Type: 800, Pistol ammunition
Description: Russian-type handgun with excellent control. This weapon is better than the PP7. It has advanced stopping power but it is a bit loud.

Rating: ****
  Name: Klobb
Classification: Sub-Machine Gun
Ammo Type: 800, Light automatic
Description: Originally called the spider, this gun has been named after a Rare director: Kenny Lobb. It is quite bad however with the least damage dealt in the game.

Rating: *
  Name: KF7 Soviet
Classification: Heavy automatic
Ammo Type: 400, heavy automatic caliber
Description: The most common gun that enemies carry, it has brute force and great stopping power. Even if it’s loud, it makes for a formidable weapon and it’s great wean fire power is needed! Scope included.

Rating: ****½
  Name: ZMG (9mm)
Classification: Light automatic
Ammo Type: 800, light automatic
Description: Single-handed, powerful, sturdy and precise body-guard equipment.

Rating: ****
  Name: D5K Deutsh
Classification: Light automatic
Ammo Type: 800, light automatic
Description: This is perhaps an equivalent to the KF7 Soviet just with weaker shots (light weaponry). Can be fitted with a silencer for covert operations

Rating: ***
  Name: Phantom
Classification: Light automatic
Ammo Type: 800, light automatic
Description: Huge magazine... well the second biggest in the game... but that doesn’t stop it from being a really good weapon and a terrorist favorite. Apart from that, it is very much like the D5K Deutsh.

Rating: ****

Name: (US) AR33 Assault Rifle Classification: Heavy automatic
Ammo Type: 400, heavy automatic caliber
Description: The American version of the KF7 Soviet, this weapon benefits from a higher rate of fire and a bit more subtle stopping power than it’s Russian “cousin”. Same scope also included.

Rating: ****½
  Name: RC-P90
Classification: Light automatic
Ammo Type: 800, light automatic
Description: Obviously the weapon of choice for most of multiplayer games. It’s rareness in missions is a bumer since this gun is the best automatic weapon there is, with a whooping 80 magazine (I know that means nothing to Perfect Dark players since their magazines go up to 200...but I’m talking in a Golden Eye perspective).

Rating: *****
  Name: Shotgun
Classification: Other (special)
Ammo Type: 200, Shotgun cartridges
Description: This gun is only available with the cheat “All Guns” - it is no where else to be found. A regular shotgun which shoots a cartridge of 5 bullets at one time.

Rating: **½
  Name: Automatic Shotgun
Classification: Other
Ammo Type: 200, Shotgun cartridges
Description: Here is another rare gun which is not that great. And it is quite strange. Well to tell you, this is a perplexing mystery. Why is this gun called “automatic”? I don’t see any difference between this one and the regular one. And just as strange, why is the Automatic Shotgun available in missions but not the regular Shotgun?

Rating: **½
  Name: Sniper Rifle
Classification: Heavy automatic
Ammo Type: 400, heavy automatic caliber
Description: This Siberian arctic design gives you extreme precision and it is mounted with a telescope to snipe out far targets. Strange enough that it uses heavy automatic caliber ammo. Not to good for close combat and when picked up, your slap turns into the “but of the gun”.

Rating: *** (only use full in missions)
  Name: Cougar Magnum
Classification: Handgun (Other)
Ammo Type: 200, magnum bullets
Description: Although it’s only possible to get this gun with a cheat it is not counted as a special since you see it in missions and you can youse it in multiplayer. Strong but slow, inaccurate, noisy and cumbersome, it isn’t that great especially when you are in the middle of action.
Encycl.: Name coming from the latin word: magnus, magna, magnum (meaning=big, great - well it’s not that great after all).

Rating: *½
  Name: Silver/Gold PP7 (special)(lethal)
Classification: Handgun (Other)
Ammo Type: 800, pistol ammunition
Description: The best gun(s) in the game! The silver version is like the Cougar Magnum but with the same advantages as the Golden PP7. This one is a one-hit-kill like the Golden Gun, but it uses regular pistol ammo, shoots much faster and is more reliable. To bad it is (they are) only available with cheats.

Rating: *****
  Name: Golden Gun (lethal)
Classification: Handgun (Other)
Ammo Type: 100, golden gun ammunition
Description: It might be slow but it is a one-hit-kill. A rare gun that doesn’t require cheats of any sort.

Rating: ****½
  Name: Laser
Classification: Other
Ammo Type: -, laser impulse
Description: Military/Moonraker Laser with unlimited ammo and the strength of a Cougar Magnum - very, VERY use full!

Rating: ****½
  Name: Watch Laser
Classification: Other
Ammo Type: 1000, battery laser beam
Description: Mainly for burning off wood or melting steel, this compact device can inflict very little damage to guards. Mainly a gadget, just classified as a gun because of it’s power to inflict damage.

Rating: **½
  Name: Grenade Launcher
Classification: Explosive
Ammo Type: 12, grenades (launcher)
Description: A weapon for expert professionals only. Hard to control, massive explosions - this is suicidal in the hands of a beginner and most intermediates.

Rating: ****
  Name: Rocket Launcher
Classification: Explosive
Ammo Type: 3, Rockets
Description: A not so hard weapon to use ,that is, in the hands of somebody, just as deadly as an elephant stampede in New York. But all weapon has it’s weakness - it isn’t great in close corners (at least you can shoot grenades around corners).

Rating: ***½
  Name: Grenades (hand)
Classification: Explosive
Ammo Type: 10, grenades
Description: Not to effective weapons in combat. These could be much better, they are near useless.

Rating: * (barely)
  Name: Timed/Proximity/Remote Mines
Classification: Explosive
Ammo Type: 10, Mines (of each)
Description: Remote mines are really great, especially in missions. Proxies are fun in multiplayer but timed are boring - not great in combat!

Rating: **(T)-***(P)-****(R)
  Name: Taser (super special)
Classification: Other
Ammo Type: -, taser impulse
Description: This might be cool but actually it is the worst gun in the game. Think of it as a TV remote - a bit slow and average power. Activate it with the cheat: “All Guns”

Rating: ** (***** for looks!!)
  Name: Tank (special)
Classification: Explosive
Ammo Type: 50, Tank shells
Description: Well... this isn’t exactly the tank like in Runway or Streets. All you get is shells that come out of your head at a slow speed. Only activated with the cheat: “All Guns”.

Rating: **
