I was surfing around a few days ago and I ran into plenty of Rumors having to do with Perfect Dark. I just couldn't believe how stupid people were. Over a span of at least 20 pages of rumors mysteries and so, I found hundreds of overlapping stories that are entirely and outrageously false. I'll spend a bit of time clarifying things up.
Everywhere I find comments about this. Apparently, a ghost would be wandering around
your game killing people. No, but to think all the rumors they put up. Some people say
that it is a programmed device to kill people so that the game keeps running smoothly and
so that there is no overload in players... Others think he is a glitch and even some
believe that it's the ghost of James Bond wanting to seek revenge over Joanna. I have
never heard anything more stupid and farfetched as this. Ya... sure! As if a fictional
character (who, by the way isn't dead) wanders around in cartridges killing guards and
Joanna. Hello people! VIRTUAL REALITY!!! Geese. Rare would never do this! They barely had
enough time to make the game as it is meant to be. Plus adding an extra ghost would just
take up even more space instead of fixing it. If Rare would want to remove a character,
they would use a disappearing function to get rid of it.
So many FAKE reports of this... Plenty of tall tales about s*** just to attract attention.
Despicable!
No! No! No! There are ZERO button codes in PD! There never was, there isn't any and
there never will be!
Here is Rare's quote:"The Golden Eye button codes were originally intended for game
development accessibility and were later on hacked".
We could believe so with the complicated sequence, however, they could have taken them off
easily; they are translated into controller button commands and the 64 Character cheat
definitely was not intended just for the programmers.
Still, no matter how much you try, you will never find any button codes.
Some people have been bragging about ways to open mission levels in multi. This is completely false! It is quite obvious that the levels are FAR to big and detailed to support 4 players and 8 sims (let alone regular multi levels).
I've even got an e-mail from somebody claming to be able to. He hasn't e-mailed me
since I told him that he was only on about playing with a friend in co-op, by selecting
human instead of a simulant. We are looking for for players, simulants and ammo boxes in
levels like Skedar Ruins or Lucern Tower.
Unfortunately, there is no way to use the Golden Eye weapons in the multiplayer. Rare
had originally decided to include it but for some reasons it never got done.
-License problems...
-It was at the bottom of the list of "things to do". And it wouldn't have taken
only 5 minutes. Perhaps a week (including the debug testing)...
-They had more important things to do. Making sure the sims wouldn't screw up and adding
textures to the levels for example...
This has also been a popular subject to rumor about. Blablabla... Myself, I don't know
about it entirely, but I do know as much as to fake out false reports. People say that
perhaps it was the original location to place the conspirators meeting. OK. so let's
pretend this is true... What the heck is the G5 building for then? If this was the case,
mission 3 would only use one level: Chicago-Stealth. I don't think Rare would go out of
their way to create a whole new level just for some little element that doesn't fit
exactly together.
Other reports of a secret mission objective also turned up... Ha! Pure s***!!!
Oh boy... People are going mad crazy about this. They want to know what it is about.
No, there is no way to pick them up or to shoot them away.
No, you can't unlock anything by getting all of the cheese pieces.
The cheese is only an artistic detail of the level in the same way as a pipe is placed
along the wall to make for more realism. It is a "solid" object unlike other
"movable" items such as guns, gadgets or chairs. The Rare team stuck it in for
your pure interest and nothing but to make you ponder over it and oblige you to start
asking questions.
The Best out and over.
