So you've beaten the game... Your board... You don't know what to do... How about exploring the levels a bit! There are plenty of things to visit and to discover. Just about every level has at least 1 or two secrets. There is a cheese hidden among every world and the weapons cache locations overflow the chart. I've put a list of all these secrets. Some are more obvious than others, and some you may have already discovered. |
Secret locations |
Secret locations are everywhere. The secret to finding them is by carefully exploring every little nook and cranny with X-ray goggles or by attempting to open every last locked door with the trick that us experts use: attracting guards attention, disarming them and putting on cloaking next to the locked door. The guards will walk around and may open up locked doors.
Lucern Tower | ||
dataDyne central -Defection -Extraction Mr.Blonde's revenge |
||
-You can blast a hole in the air tube next to the first
security hub with some explosive power. Inside is a ladder that connects you to a secret
room with a small window containing the cheese of the level. At the back of the
room, you can blow a second hole through the wall to end up in Cassandra's office. -More secret places are described in my cheats page: "Finally out of Lucern Tower!". |
Basement research laboratory
dataDyne research -Investigation |
|
-There is a connection between the main room that connects you to the Radioactive Isotope and the K7 Avenger target practice room. Activate the computer with the red monitor in the room to the right of where you begin so that you unlock a trapdoor back in the big room leading to the R.I.. Climb down the ladder and you will be in the target practice range (around the corner). |
Carrington villa | |
Carrington villa -Hostage one |
|
-Inside the room where Carrington is tied up: refer to cheats page.
-Although it is a common place, this restroom with a pool and a view under the dock is somewhat hard to find. Instead of walking into the door that leads you to the rocky area of the level, try the other door on the other side. |
Chicago streets | |
Chicago -Stealth |
|
-The famous Pond Punk bar... A secret location hard of
access. Enter the blue sliding door next to where the limo is parked and go down the ramp.
DISARM the guards so that they open up the locked door. You can also shoot with the
Farsight XR-20 next to the guard to alert him and make him open the door, or in
Counter-op, use the suicide pill till you start as the guard in there. The place includes
a bar, a lounge, a large desk, a washroom (location of the cheese) and even a
reception room leading off also to an empty room (?). |
Area 51 | |
Area 51 -Infiltration -Rescue -Escape Maian SOS |
|
![]() |
-This is the biggest "world" and it also is the one
with the most secret areas. I'll give you some cool places to visit and I'll let you
continue on, on your own, using the tricks I mentioned in my resume. -Access the whole place (including the hangars, storage rooms, exterior, lab and the main access route) from Area 51 -Escape and Maian SOS. -Front door and main entrance. -In Area 51 -Infiltration, move into storage room without passing by Jonathan by opening the door next to the ramp in the first floor of the hangar with the cloaking device trick. |
Air Base | |
Air Base -Espionage |
|
-Although it is a big level with plenty of passages, Air Base
is quick to learn. Fun things to do are: Checking each four floors of the elevator
including the mysterious 3rd floor...; exploring the staff area where the safe is and
watching the briefcase follow it's path (unfortunately, you cannot enter the tunnel it
goes through).
|
Air Force One |
Air Force One -Antiterrorism |
-This has some interesting areas. There is, of course, the
cool looking cockpit and it's sub compartments... Something new to players who haven't
played it in Perfect Agent. And on the other side of the plane, a funny looking room (1rst
pic). I also found this out by accident: You can open up the passage to the Skedar ship
before you talk to the president (which means that the Skedar ship normally wouldn't be
docked).![]() |
Crash site | |
Crash site -Antiterrorism |
|
-Even though this level is huge, exploring it isn't as thrilling as most other levels. However, there is an area that the average player may not go to. If you turn around, from the start, and head through a passageway, you'll run into a big crevasse with a log spanning it. You can cross it and you'll be amongst some trees. A bit further down is the trail that Elvis's ship plowed when it crash landed. Elvis is patrolling his ship and the surrounding (this is also the end area of the mission). |
PelagicII | ||
PelagicII -Exploration |
||
-Now this is very strange... What the hell is this room for. It is empty and past the end scene. To get to it, enter the the final area with the pool, go to the other side and climb up the stairs. At the far end, you'll find a door leading to an empty room. There is no guard there, he just followed me there. |
Carrington Institute | ||
Carrington Institute -Defense -Training (not a level) The Duel |
||
-The basement hangar is vast and interesting to explore. Plenty of boxes, two huge hangar doors, helipads, some more small ones, shiny mainframes, realistic oil puddles (check them out with an X-ray device!), a load bay... The pictures were taken during the mission. |
Skedar Mothership | ||
Attack ship -Covert assault |
||
-Due to it's grim appeal, the Mothership of the Skedar forces
isn't as fascinating as other levels like Area 51. What you can do, however is pick up the
slayer and fly around outside the ship via funny looking air ducks near a ramp. Too bad
there is no graphic outside, it would have been cool to see what the ship looks like from
outside - a bit like the image that we sometimes see in Golden Eye's Frigate.
|
Skedar Homeworld | ||
Skedar ruins -Battle shrine WAR! |
||
-If you refer to the picture on the left, the background
colors are a bit vivid for a war torn world. Any how, this level is great to use the
slayer in. If you fly to high, though, you'll get lost and you won't be able to find your
way again. The picture to the left is the area where the cheese is. Yep, that's
what it looks like behind that crack in the wall. And just look at the cheese... Do
Skedars eat dairy products? Or did somebody leave it behind and it's all rotted? |
